Making JD Power data actionable during COVID-19

When COVID-19 hit, Dealerware, a B2B automotive startup, saw an opportunity to show their clients how meaningful their product can be during trying times. Equipped with data from a recent JD Power report and a write-up about excellent service experiences, Dealerware came to The Graphic Standard to turn the data and content into a digestible, actionable playbook for enhancing the customer service experience — both in person and at a distance.

Translated data from JD Power report to visualizations

The Project

Building off of the Dealerware brand language, I defined a system for the editorial design and data visualizations that made data clear and understandable through pie graphs, bar charts and bold statistics, paired with images of customers and service people that added warmth and energy to the report. Additionally, I worked collaboratively with the Dealerware team to define where to bring in a narrative about the Dealerware product and how to showcase it through illustrated visuals.

The end result was a compelling report that gained traction and attention across the company.
